Milwaukee wedding couples sometimes call and ask if I know of locations that fly under the radar. Of course I have a secret local list because a lot of couples want to stay local. But what happens when a couple wants to go out of state? What if they say no trees and no buildings? And lastly, what if they say they want it in driving distance?
I thought and thought…sand dunes is what came to mind. Over and over. Then I thought of the Bonneville Salt Flats. But with both of those, we were limited in needing to fly. And then I remembered this shoot I saw years ago that took place at sunset in a far off part of Kansas. The Monument Rocks. A quick search in Google images allowed me to show Morgan and Alan the location and we set out for some pre wedding photography where they could be the focal point and only piece of color agains this monumental yet muted backdrop. The result were breathtaking. Have a look.
