Romantic Black Tie Wedding

It’s really hard not to swoon over this wedding at the Teachout Building. White Willow Events (see more of their work at Lexi & Logan’s Wedding) planned it perfectly with the couple, Jane and Hugh. I’ve known Jane for some time and since the day I met her, she had a classic elegance to her style. Understated and sophisticated her style was and is classic. Whether the wedding was held in Chicago, Toronto, Milwaukee, or Dallas, the classic overtones, southern undertones (wait until you see the reception decor), and modern exposed aesthetic would scream chic. Attended by an international A-lister guest list and the dancing showmanship of media conglomerate Meredith Corporation’s senior staff, this reception topped this the city’s chart of wedding to be at.

Here I am, checking in a year post wedding. Scroll along these images with me and watch the absolute perfection in execution.

  • Gentleman, if you are doubting that navy is the new black, study these photos.

  • Not into a bridal party, who needs one? I don’t see any shortage of beautiful women and handsome men studding the photos.

  • Looking for a simple, timeless and sophisticated up-do? Ask Jane!

  • Looking for a cool stop-off locations between ceremony and reception? Check out the Continental Bar – great drinks even better lighting. A photographers dream mix of celebration and diffused directional light!

Jane (and Hugh!) kept is simple, uncomplicated, and invested in the most perfect places. Nothing wasteful, everything impactful, and all so much so that a year later I’m still talking about this wedding. Like I said months ago, from Milwaukee weddings to DC weddings, Jane and Hughs wedding pulled in influences from all over to give the cosmopolitan vibe the guests looked for and received. Take me back!
